Today is a B day. The days are divided into A, B and C days, as well as additional special event and trip days. Yesterday was the first day of camp, with my girls arriving the day before. I taught two sessions today and two yesterday, each lasting 50 mins. As I am going on hikes and over-night camps I don't teach all the day, the rest of my time is prep time and planning time.
Last night was the welcome show, and all xtreme staff danced to two Justin Beiber songs - a lot of fun!! Tonight is funky hair night and then some games with our age group. Mine (agawans) are the second year of upper camp. They have a lot of priveledges, but not as many as the oldest girls (totems).
During rest hour today (the hottest part of the day) we had whole bunk photos taken. Send me and email (jenny baker 86 at gmail.com) and I will get you the password to log in online to see some of the photos taken whilst we have been here. I haven't seen them yet, but some are bound to have me in!

Latest American update...
Finally have time and a few computer to update my blog!!
America is brilliant, everyone is super friendly and I have learnt a lot. I am in a bunk with eight Agawan girls. The camp is divided into Oskis, Cascos, Coos, Eagles, Kineos, Agawans, Zunis and Totems. My girls are 13 and have all just finished 7th grade (year eight). They are from Florida, NeW York, Conneticut and one girl is from Switzerland They will arrive tomorrow lunch time and will be with me and my co-counsellors for about 4 weeks. We then have a three day turn-around and more arrive. Usually people change age groups for the second session, but I won't find out yet who I am with.
New Hampshire is beautiful.
Camp is on a lake, and the White Mountains are just behind us. We have had a few thunderstorms and you can see them approaching over the mountains. Suddenly the sky goes very dark and grey and it begins raining very heavily. This happened last night when we were returning from Walmart. It (Walmart) is the nearest place (about ten miles away) and often shuttles are run for staff to go and get things. Last night we had a Walmart challenge where we had twenty dollars and twenty minutes to buy as much as possible to decorate our bunk. My bunk has the theme Under the Sea.
A few days ago we visited Hanover - a nearby town where Dartmouth college is based.It is very pretty and had lots of lovely shops and the campus to walk around. From now though, there are not many trips happeneing, until we all go to Burlington, Vermont and Boston in a few weeks time.
Thank you for the post I have recieved. Yoiu get very excited about post arriving, and letter writing is a big thing here. If you send me packages they have to be in a jiffy bag or normal envelope and with STAFF written on them.

Day 4
Well all is fabulous here, weather is greeat and everyone is very friendly. Please excuse all the short blogs, there is very limited telly time.
Today and ysterday we (the xtreme team) were trained on all the high and low elements of the challenge course. All staff have now arrived, and so we have begun offical orientation.This entails lots of being taught about girls of different ages, and camp traditions. I found myself standing on the chair at dinner singing a cheer with the rest of my table.
When you send post, pleae write STAFF all over the enveolope and then it won't be opened before I am given it (girls post opened so no nut products arrive on camp.
Off so someone can uyse the computer. Byeeeee

Day 1
(Written at the time, uploaded now)
Well I've been in the air for about two hours and just eaten the most amazing aeroplane lunch of vegetable lasagne, salad leaves, feta, bread roll, cheese and biscuits and chocolate cookies.
Delta is, despite everyone slating it., is amazing! I don't have much to compare it to though!!
The plane is huge, HUGE and very exciting.
Off to Walmart, will continue later. Don't forget to write...

day 1
Sat at Heathrow waiting for gate to open and plane to depart. I will be on the plane, so I suppose I am sort of waiting for me to leave as well.
All is good, I checked in (with an over-size but thankfully not over-weight bag) and went through security with no problems. Now waiting, and drinking coffee, and waiting and drinking water and waiting.
I met others checking in who were flying to do Camp America (not what I'm doing) and they all seemed very friendly, so hopefully everyone I am with will be so too. I don't know how often I can update my blog, so will resort to writing it all down, and uploading it when possible.
Heathrow is fabulous - may i live here? It has Cath Kidston, Jo Malone and LK Bennett - apll my favourite people!!!

How am I going to manage on the other side of the world?
So, first I thought it took four hours to fly -
I leave Heathrow at 10am and land at 1pm. So thats about 4 hours right? Wrong, there is a little thing called time difference. Oh how everyone laughed.
Now, I just looked at the weather -
Its 14 on Tuesday, 15 on Wednesday but then goes up to 18 and 19 at the weekend. Scroll down the page, back up the page. Second glance. Oh, I was looking at the date.
Now how on earth am I going to manage?!

Camp-12 hours
I check in at the airport in less than twelve hours. So very excited!!
The "big bag" is 16kg. I am allowed 23kg. The hand luggage is 2kg. I am allowed 10. I am very very impressed with myself.
